1. Who we are
Caliber is operated by CALIBER PARTNERS - FZCO, Building A1, Dubai Digital Park, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this policy, “Caliber”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that company.
This policy covers personal information handled through our public website, member workspaces, recruitment and engagement services, and related communications. Caliber is responsible for the processing it determines. Organizations and other parties may also handle information for their own purposes under their own privacy notices.
2. Information we collect
- Account and contact information: your name, email address, contact details, account credentials, verification records, organization membership and permissions.
- Professional information: CVs and other documents you provide, work history, education, skills, languages, portfolio links, availability, work preferences and information about work authorization or sponsorship.
- Organization and opportunity information: business contacts, role descriptions, hiring requirements and information submitted by organization members.
- Recruitment and engagement records: applications, matching assessments, clarification answers, references, feedback, interview arrangements, agreements, work records, invoices and payment-status records.
- Communications: messages, support requests, attachments and correspondence with Caliber.
- Technical information: IP addresses, browser and device information, request and security logs, cookies and browser storage used to operate the website.
We receive information from you, members of your organization, client organizations, referees and people authorized to introduce or submit a profile. Information may also be derived from documents and matching processes. An uploaded CV can contain information about other people; only provide information you are entitled to share.
Please leave out unrelated sensitive information, such as health details, religious beliefs or identity-document numbers, unless Caliber specifically requests it for a necessary purpose and explains how it will be handled.
3. How we use your information
- Create, verify and secure accounts, and manage organization access.
- Prepare and maintain professional profiles and opportunity details.
- Assess eligibility, suggest matches, manage applications and arrange interviews.
- Administer contracting, engagements, timesheets, organization invoices and talent payment records.
- Send account, application, interview and service communications, and answer support requests.
- Investigate misuse, resolve disputes, maintain necessary audit records and meet legal obligations.
Depending on the activity and applicable law, processing may be necessary to take steps you request before a contract, perform a contract, comply with a legal obligation, or serve another purpose permitted by law. Where consent is required, it must be obtained for the relevant purpose. Reading this policy or accepting our Terms of Use does not itself give consent to every use of your information.
Any optional marketing permission is separate from the communications needed to operate your account or provide a service. You can contact us to object to marketing or use an unsubscribe option included in a marketing message.
4. AI-assisted processing and matching
Caliber uses automated tools, including AI, to read documents, extract professional information, prepare clarification questions, assess requirements and explain potential matches. Depending on the enabled processing service, document text may be sent to an external AI provider, including DeepSeek.
Matching can use skills, experience, qualifications, languages, availability, location preferences and work-authorization information. Eligibility rules and ranking can affect which opportunities or profiles are shown. An inferred value or suggested match is not a verified fact, a job offer or a guarantee of suitability.
You can review and correct profile information through the available profile and clarification tools. Contact us if an extraction or matching outcome appears incorrect, or to request an explanation or human review of processing that affects you. Applicable rights concerning automated decisions continue to apply.
6. International processing
Service providers, organizations or talent involved in a service may be located outside the UAE or your country. Providing the service can therefore involve international access to or processing of personal information, including through hosting, AI, email and calendar services.
International processing is subject to applicable data-protection and transfer requirements. Depending on the destination and circumstances, these may require appropriate contractual safeguards, a legally recognized protection framework, specific consent or another permitted transfer condition. Contact us for information about the destinations and safeguards relevant to your information.
7. Retention and security
Retention depends on the record and its purpose: maintaining an active account or profile, completing a recruitment process or engagement, keeping required financial and contractual records, investigating security incidents, or resolving a dispute. A single retention period does not apply to every category.
You can ask us to review continued retention or request deletion. Closing an account does not automatically remove records that must be kept for a legal obligation, an ongoing contract or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. We will explain relevant restrictions when responding to your request.
Account authentication, verification and access permissions help protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials and private document links confidential, and report suspected unauthorized access to us promptly.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to obtain information about processing, access or receive a copy of your information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or request a review of certain automated decisions. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions.
You can edit available account and profile fields in your workspace. Availability settings control participation in new matching; changing availability does not erase your account or existing applications and engagement records.
For other requests, email contact@thecaliber.io with the subject “Privacy request”. Tell us what you would like us to do and the email address associated with your account. Do not send your password. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing already lawfully carried out or processing permitted on another legal basis. You may also raise a complaint with the competent data-protection authority under the law that applies to your situation.
10. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy as services, processing or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. Where required, we will provide further notice or obtain consent before introducing a new use of information.
